Through the mounting, 55 round cut diamonds are prong set, forming a halo that encircles the center completely before flowing down the shoulders in a graduated run. Because each stone is held open on all sides, light passes through rather than reflecting only from the crown, giving the frame a depth that a closed setting could not.
