Around it, 10 cultured white pearl round 4 MM are arranged in a close ring, the graduation between the two sizes subtle enough to read as depth rather than contrast. Threaded through the cluster, a total of 12 round cut diamonds are pave set across both earrings to break the semi-precious gemstone's soft luster with points of crisp white light. Ringing a larger pearl with smaller ones is an old idea, but it still works because it gives the eye somewhere to start and somewhere to travel, which a cluster of equal stones never quite manages. Crafted in 10 karat yellow gold, the warm metal unifies the whole composition and the pair arrives with a total weight of 1/8 Ctw.
