Set into the metal, 6 straight baguette diamonds carrying weight 1/5 Ctw lie flush with the band, their long facets holding light steadily rather than scattering it. Following that line, 23 round cut diamonds carrying weight 1/6 Ctw are prong set with each stone left open on all sides so reflection enters freely. Yellow and white gold are worked together through the 14 karat mounting, the white gold given a rhodium finish for brightness. The additional side stones here carry the line of brilliance further toward the back of the band, which matters at this scale, since a larger center can otherwise leave the shoulders looking bare.
