Classic 'S' Initial Diamond Pendant

The S never stops moving, its two opposing curves flowing into one another without a straight line anywhere in the form. This initial pendant follows that path with 12 round cut diamonds in prong settings, the stones tracing the reversal at the center so the light appears to change direction mid-letter. Each is held open on every side, allowing brilliance to enter directly and keeping the curve fluid. Crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, the warm metal follows the shape smoothly against the skin. Curved letters are the hardest to set evenly, since the spacing has to change as the line turns, and the smoothness of the finished form is the measure of that work. It hangs from a cable chain 1.00 MM in 18 inches with a lobster lock and extenders at 16" & 17", and closes with a total weight of 1/4 Ctw.
