Set across the finger rather than along it, the emerald at the heart of this ring from the Bead Bijoux Collection takes an east-west orientation that gives the design its modern stance. The emerald measures 4X3 MM in an oval shape and is bezel set so the precious gemstone's deep green stays open to the light. Beaded metalwork frames the mount with a fine granulated texture, while 23 round cut diamonds are microwall set across the split shank in a close, continuous field of white light. The beading and the microwall work pull in opposite directions, one absorbing light where the other returns it, and the tension between them is what gives the ring its character. Crafted in 10 karat white gold with a rhodium finish that keeps the metal bright against the green, the ring is finished with a total weight of 1/5 Ctw.
