Do You Have Gemologists on Staff?

Yes, we have Gemologists on staff. A Certified Gemologist has dedicated his or her professional career to the jewelry industry. Less than 5 percent of jewelers in the country have earned the Certified Gemologist title.

Through years of study and coursework, a Certified Gemologist is the industry's expert on appraising, identification, and grading diamonds and gemstones. To maintain their titles, they must take a recertification exam annually.

Our Certified Gemologists on staff have an average of 35 years experience in the jewelry industry, making D.J. Bitzan Jewelers the most experienced jeweler in the area.

What is the American Gem Society and why are you a member?

This not-for-profit trade association is comprised of fine jewelers, jewelry designers, and suppliers in the United States and Canada.

Working with a jeweler that's a member of the American Gem Society ensures:

  • Ethical business practices,
  • Superior gemological skills and knowledge, and
  • Consumer protection

To maintain the educational standards of the membership, the Society requires us to to update our gemological and jewelry knowledge by passing an annual recertification exam. Our membership in American Gem Society gives our customers that added reassurance they are doing business with a knowledgeable and ethical business.

Do You Offer Custom Design?

ABSOLUTELY! With over 56 years of experience, we make it fun and easy to design a ring, necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings with your own personal touch. Our use of the latest tools and resources makes the custom design experience personal and authentic without any added cost of design consultations and creation. Purchases and Returns

What shipping options do you offer?

We offer free standard shipping on all orders. If you’d like to receive your purchase sooner, we can arrange FedEx Overnight Shipping for an additional cost, which will vary based on your location. No matter which option you choose, your order will always be fully insured for peace of mind.

What is Your Return Policy?

It is important that you are 100% satisfied with any purchase from D.J. Bitzan Jewelers. For 30 days after purchase, you may return an item for money back. For up to 90 days, you may return your item for store credit.

Please note that custom items and watches may not be eligible for return; we recommend confirming with your sales associate for specific details.

What Payment Options Do You Offer?

We offer a few different ways to make your jewelry dream come true!

  • Cash, credit cards, money order, gift certificates — all are accepted.
  • Convenient layaway terms.
  • We also occasionally have special financing options available with approved credit - just ask your sales consultant.

Do You Have a Warranty?

D.J. Bitzan Jewelers stands behind the craftsmanship and design of all items sold. All items sold at D.J. Bitzan Jewelers include either a one year warranty or our Forever Free Diamond warranty.

Diamond Engagement Rings purchased after January 1, 2007 are covered by our Forever Free Warranty covering diamond loss, sizings and any repairs needed to keep the ring looking like new, provided your ring is inspected every six months by our store or another authorized member of the American Gem Society. Jewelry & Watch Repair

Do You Have an On-site Goldsmith Shop?

Yes! Every day our team of goldsmiths provide exceptional craftsmanship in the creation, repair, and restoration of fine jewelry. From routine inspections and cleanings to complex redesigns with family diamonds from a generational piece, we are thorough and attentive to your needs. 

Do You Perform Repairs and Resizing in Your On-site Shop or Will My Item Need to be Sent Out?

98% of repairs and resizings are done in our store by our expert, full time goldsmiths. Our goldsmiths are in our store during all business hours, so there is no need to schedule an appointment. Special circumstances with metals such as tungsten and titanium may require us to send the ring back to the designer for a new size.

Do You Offer Complimentary Jewelry Cleaning?

Yes! We believe in the beauty of jewelry and want to keep your pieces shining bright. That’s why our jewelry cleanings are complimentary. While refreshing its beauty, we always check the small details to let you know of any service needs to ensure long-lasting enjoyment of your jewelry items. Please allow at least 2 hours for our in-depth cleaning and inspection process.

Will my Forever Free Warranty still be valid if I can't make it to your store for my 6-month inspection?

While staying on schedule with your 6-month inspections is the best way to keep your Forever Free Warranty fully active, we understand life gets busy. If you miss a visit, the warranty isn’t void—but you may be responsible for repair costs that would normally be covered until you’re back on track. If you’re unable to visit us, you may also have your inspection done by a jeweler who is a member of the American Gem Society (AGS), and bring documentation to your next visit so we can update your records.

I just got engaged! How long will it take to size my new engagement ring?

Congratulations! We know this is an extremely exciting time for you — when you share the news of your engagement, you want to be able to show the ring!

If your engagement ring doesn't fit right away, don't worry. We understand the urgency to keep that ring on your finger as long as possible! Under most circumstances, we can size your ring in our shop in a few
hours. Keep in mind, some styles may require additional time.
